Mission & Vision
"PRESSOR is a consortium of health science professionals at scientific, medical and academic institutions around the world dedicated to research into improved diagnosis, localization, management and treatment of pheochromocytoma, particularly malignant pheochromocytoma. PRESSOR was established to facilitate collaborations and sharing of materials, information and expertise among investigators and clinicians interested in research about pheochromocytoma. By providing a support network, PRESSOR enables a concerted and coordinated approach to basic and clinical research about pheochromocytoma that should lead to improved understanding of the biology of the tumor and more rapid advances in diagnosis, localization and management of pheochromocytoma and treatments for patients with malignancies."
"Develop and implement effective treatments for malignant pheochromocytoma.
Establish new diagnostic and prognostic tests for discriminating benign from malignant and other forms of pheochromocytoma.
Create platforms for the exchange of information on pheochromocytoma research among researchers, physicians, and patients.
Establish consensus evidence-based guidelines for effective biochemical diagnosis, localization, and treatment of benign, malignant and other forms of pheochromocytoma'
