This is how my nights have been for about a year: In the middle of the night, I wake up hot and heart pounding. At the same time, and I will explain it by what it seems like to be to me, I have pushing and shoving in my upper abdomen. If you understand how the colon goes up the right side, crosses to the left just above the belly button, and then goes down the left side, then I will explain. It feels like my colon cannot push the contents past the left side of the transverse colon so that it will go down the left descending colon. So, I get these waves of "pushing" for on average an hour. During this whole time, it feels like so much pressure and feeling "stuffed" in my upper abdomen. My heart rate is higher and I feel it pounding throughout my body. Also, I am sooooo hot!
This goes on for about an hour, then at some point, I can feel the pushing succeeded and the pressure in the left upper area almost immediately goes away. At almost the exact same time, the heart calms down and I am not hot anymore.
I know this all is in the general area of the kidneys/adrenals. Could active intestines(really like a baby stretching in the uterus!!) cause a pheo to activate? I have not been diagnosed, but still have to have my 1 cm growth on each adrenal. I haven't had any testing done in a couple of years now, but I am beginning to wonder if maybe they have grown and get active when "touched".
Anyone else have full colon activate their pheo?
